PCSD selected Centegix, one of three vendors approved by the Utah State Board of Education. Employees can trigger two alert levels. PCSD is coordinating with the Park City Police Department and Summit County Sheriff’s Office. The district does not yet have an official delivery date.

Park City schools weigh open enrollment as some secondary classes top 30 students - TownLift, Park City News
The district reported 3,956 students in kindergarten through 12th grade as of Sept. 15, in a presentation delivered to the Park City Board of Education Tuesday afternoon. Overall numbers have changed only slightly since the first day of school, when the district reported 4,177 students from preschool through 12th grade.

Human-caused wildfires in Utah down in 2026, total acres increase
Wildfires have burned more than half a million acres across Utah so far this year, more than double the total acres burned in 2025. Utah Fire Info reports as of Sept. That’s compared to just under 1,000 starts at this time last year. Summit County has recorded more than 50 wildfires.

Park City PD K-9 Bruno heads home after surgery
SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah, Sept. 17, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Park City K-9 Bruno is heading home after leg surgery. The K-9 officer was doing a sniff for explosives Tuesday morning on a Summit County overpass when he suddenly jumped from the overpass, landing hard on the roadway about 35 feet below.
