Southern Utah University will host a virtual professional development event focused on accounting careers. The session features Chris Cannon, CPA, and is scheduled for Friday, November 6, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. MST.
The event is part of the Friday Career Connection series. Cannon, a Southern Utah University alumnus, serves as a Senior Tax Accountant at Squire. He is a Certified Public Accountant with more than five years of professional experience.
Cannon specializes in individual and business tax matters at a midsize firm located in Utah. His professional background includes work in advisory services, audit, and tax. He focuses on simplifying complex financial strategies and assisting clients with growth planning and tax challenges.
The virtual event is organized by the Graduate & Online department. It is intended for a wide audience including current students, alumni, faculty, staff, prospective students, the community, and parents of SUU students.
