Taylor Frankie Paul allegedly saw her parenting time reduced to eight hours a week after failing multiple court-ordered drug tests within the last 60 days, according to a report published September 17 by TMZ. The Salt Lake City-based custody battles involve her three children: Indy, 8, and Ocean, 6, with ex-husband Tate Paul, and Ever, 2, with ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.
Under the alleged court order, Paul is reportedly granted four hours with Indy and Ocean, and four hours with Ever. The substances identified in the failed tests remain unknown, though TMZ reported that at least one of the substances is not commonly available as a prescription medication.
This development follows a July 8 court hearing where a judge had expanded Paul's parenting time to one weekday and alternating weekends. A source stated that leaked information regarding the case constitutes a continuation of the harassment and intimidation Paul has faced during her custody battles. Page Six noted that a strict gag order is currently in place for the case, preventing direct review of court documents.
Paul is involved in ongoing legal disputes in Salt Lake City courts with both Tate Paul and Dakota Mortensen. In March, Paul temporarily lost custody of her son, Ever, after a video surfaced of a 2023 domestic dispute between her and Mortensen. Following that incident, Mortensen was granted full custody of Ever and a temporary order of protection against Paul.
Tate Paul, who was married to Paul from 2016 to 2022, filed for sole custody of their two children and a temporary restraining order against her in June.
The legal issues have impacted Paul's media career. Production for Season 5 of the series Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was halted, and her season of The Bachelorette was canceled in March due to personal drama. While co-star Mikayla Matthews announced her departure from the series citing the unethical nature of Paul's potential return, Paul is reportedly set to return for Season 6 of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
