Weber State women's soccer secured a 5-0 victory over Utah Tech on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, at Wildcat Soccer Field in Ogden. The win marks the second time in the last eight seasons that Weber State has scored five or more goals in a Big Sky Conference match.
Fifth-year forward Sayler Schlosser opened the scoring in the second minute with a one-timer from beyond the box. Senior Lily Blum scored twice, including a top-shelf goal in the ninth minute assisted by Amanda Caswell, and a header in the 32nd minute following an assist from Schlosser. Simone Packer scored in the 62th minute after a pass from Bonnie Buswell, and Cici Garcia added the final goal in the 67th minute via a header following a corner kick.
The Wildcats dominated the match statistically, outshooting Utah Tech 18-8 and converting five of their six shots on goal. Utah Tech was limited to just one shot on frame and saw a goalkeeper change to Emma McIff at halftime. Following the win, Weber State moved to a 6-5-2 record overall and 2-0-1 in the Big Sky, while Utah Tech moved to 6-5-1 overall and 2-1 in the conference.
The soccer victory follows a recent loss for the Weber State volleyball team, which fell to Utah Tech 23-25, 25-22, 25-12, 25-20 in St. George. The volleyball loss dropped the Wildcats to a 9-6 overall record and 2-3 in the Big Sky.
Weber State is scheduled to host Southern Utah at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Weber State is next scheduled to play Southern Utah on Saturday.
