The Santa Clara City Council will consider an agreement with Utah Tech for the city's PEG channel during a regular meeting scheduled for Wednesday, July 8, 2026. The proposed memorandum of understanding was presented for discussion and action by City Manager Brock Jacobsen.
The upcoming meeting, which is set to begin at 6:00 p.m., will take place in the Santa Clara City Council Chambers located at 2603 Santa Clara Drive. According to a public notice and agenda posted by the City of Santa Clara, the council will also address matters related to local cemetery fees.
A public hearing is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. to receive community feedback regarding non-resident burial fees. This hearing is part of a broader discussion and action item to consider the approval of these fees and the adoption of Resolution No. 2026-15R, a proposal presented by Parks Director Ryan VonCannon.
In addition to the Utah Tech agreement and burial fee discussions, the council's consent agenda includes the approval of minutes from the June 24, 2026, City Council work and regular meeting. The council is also slated to review claims processed through July 8, 2026.
The meeting will begin with an opening ceremony featuring a pledge of allegiance led by Councilman Hendrickson. Reverend Derek DeToni-Hill, the Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church, is scheduled to provide opening comments.
The City of Santa Clara has announced several upcoming dates for municipal activities and closures. The city's offices will be closed on July 24, 2026, in observance of Pioneer Day.
Future council sessions are already scheduled, including a work and regular meeting on July 22, 2026, and another session on August 12, 2026. The meeting agenda was officially certified by City Recorder Selena Nez, CMC, who noted that the notice was posted on June 18, 2026.
