Barnett Elementary has recently celebrated the start of a new school year through community events and staff recognition. In a notice on the school's website, the school highlighted the successful completion of its first week of classes.
The Nebo School District has introduced a theme for the new school year titled Be That Friend. This initiative involves Superintendent Rick Nielsen and other district leaders.
During the transition into the new school year, Barnett Elementary held a Back to School Night on August 17 to allow students and families to meet teachers and visitors. Additionally, the school has utilized a Guess This Bulldog series to introduce staff members to the community.
In recent educational news, Mollie Eddy, a Speech-Language Pathologist at Barnett Elementary, was honored at the statewide Honors in Education Gala. Eddy received the Ken Garff for Good Award for making a meaningful difference in the community.
Other staff members identified in recent school communications include Principal Brent Hogan, fifth grade teacher Jane Price, and various other educators across the elementary school.
The Nebo School District is also currently hiring for positions within the Child Nutrition department. Furthermore, applications for free and reduced lunch for the 26-27 school year are now open through the LINQ app.
