Local historical society origins
The history of the area includes the establishment of the Kearns Historical Society in 1998 by Pam Todd, a resident of the community for more than 40 years. What began as a hobby has grown into a large project.

According to data from tax.utah.gov, the 2025 population estimate for Kearns is 38,455. Census information from 2020 for the Kearns Metro Township indicates there were 10,408 total households with an average of 3.54 persons per household. Additionally, 96.4% of households have a computer.

Geographically, Kearns is located at 40°39’11 N, 112°0’24 W. The United States Census Bureau reports that the area has a total land area of 12.5 km² (4.8 mi²).
