Principal’s Message
Dear Amelia Earhart Families,
We are off to a great start! This week was extra special as our newest Aviators—our kindergarten students—officially joined the flight on Wednesday! It was wonderful welcoming them to Amelia Earhart, and we are excited to watch them learn, grow, and soar throughout the year.
Our classrooms are settling into routines, relationships are growing, and our Aviators are already doing great things. Thank you, families, for helping us start the year so strong!
We are also excited to share that Boys & Girls Clubs of Utah County will soon be offering after-school programming at Amelia Earhart! Families interested in learning more can find program and registration information below.

Academic Focus
SB 241
Utah's SB 241 places an increased focus on ensuring students in the early grades develop the reading skills they need to be successful. For our students, assessment data will help teachers identify students who may need additional reading support. For students who are not yet reading at grade level, the school will work with families to develop an Individual Reading Plan (IRP).
How Parents Can Support at Home
Small, consistent routines at home can make a big difference!
Read with your child every night. Have them read to you, read together, or read aloud to them. Practice the reading skills your child's teacher recommends.
Make attendance a priority.
When families and schools work together, our Aviators have the strongest opportunity to grow and succeed.
Attendance Focus
Did you know that regular attendance in elementary school is one of the strongest predictors of graduating high school?
