SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Intermountain Health neurologists are celebrating a major surgical milestone: the 100th use of an implantable device that reduces seizure activity in patients with focal epilepsy. Responsive neurostimulation (RNS) uses electrodes placed on the brain surface or in deeper brain areas for continuous monitoring of brain waves.
