Recent budget hearing updates
According to a notice from the Cedar City Corporation, the council previously held hearings on June 10, 2026, to receive public comments on the adoption of the 2026-2027 fiscal year budget. Following that meeting, both the Cedar City Redevelopment Agency and the Cedar City Municipal Building Authority also held hearings to discuss the same tentative budget.
Planning Commission development reviews
The city's Planning Commission held a public hearing on June 16, 2026, to review development items. The agenda included consideration of an amended plat for Temple View Commons Phase 1 and a development agreement for a property near 2411 W. 580 N. that involves the deferral of public improvements such as asphalt, curb, gutter, and sidewalk.
Magnolia Fields ordinance consideration
Additionally, the Cedar City Council scheduled a hearing during its June 17, 2026, work meeting to consider an ordinance amending a development and deferral agreement for property located at approximately 1150 North 3900 West in the Magnolia Fields Subdivision, Phase 2.
