Stage 2 fire restrictions were rescinded for multiple counties and on private and state land in central Utah, according to a Utah Fire Info post on August 31, 2026. The move affects Millard, Juab, Sanpete, Sevier, Wayne, and Piute counties.
While Stage 2 restrictions have been lifted, Stage 1 fire restrictions will remain in effect in the affected locations. Officials noted that although recent moisture has provided some relief, conditions can change quickly.
