In Beaver, a massive debris flow triggered by runoff from the Cottonwood Burn Scar led to a flash flood emergency on a Sunday afternoon. This event prompted officials to issue an urgent water notice, advising Beaver residents to avoid drinking tap water due to contamination.
Other significant weather-related events include mudslides in Utah County that closed Diamond Fork Road for several hours, impacting hikers and campers. Additionally, heavy rains have historically caused significant flooding and mudslides in Spanish Fork Canyon, forcing travelers to divert from mountain routes.
