The Pleasant Grove Vikings finished the 2025-26 Utah high school girls basketball season as the premier program in both Class 6A and Class 5A, according to rankings released following the conclusion of the winter season. The Vikings achieved a perfect 26-0 record during their championship campaign.

The top ten Class 6A teams included Westlake Thunder (21-5), Kanab Cowboys (25-2), Springville Red Devils (17-8), Bingham Miners (19-8), Wasatch Wasps (18-6), Lone Peak Knights (16-11), Syracuse Titans (19-6), Davis Darts (16-9), Maple Mountain Golden Eagles (16-10), Alta Hawks (19-5), Copper Hills Grizzlies (15-9), Farmington Phoenix (14-9), and Mountain Ridge Sentinels (17-8)."
In the highest classification, Class 6A, the Pleasant Grove Vikings led the statewide rankings with an undefeated 26-0 record. They were followed by the West Panthers, who finished the season with a 25-2 record.
Bountiful Redhawks secured the number three spot in Class 6A after posting a 23-3 record, while Green Canyon Wolves rounded out the top four with 25 wins and two losses. The top ten in Class 6A also featured Cedar Valley Aviators at number five with a 16-8 record, Fremont Silverwolves at number six with 2-4, and Dixie Flyers at number seven with a 24-3 record.

The Class 6A rankings also highlighted significant depth within the state's largest schools. Beyond the top tier, programs like Farmington Phoenix and Mountain Ridge Sentinels maintained competitive records of 14-9 and 17-8, respectively.
In terms of regional competition, the rankings reflected a highly competitive landscape for Utah's largest student populations, with teams from various regions such as Region 1 (including Davis, Farmington, Layton, Syracuse, and Weber) and Region 2 (including Bingham, Cedar Valley, Copper Hills, Herriman, Mountain Ridge, Riverton, and Westlake) appearing prominently in the state-wide hierarchy.
Class 5A Dominance by Pleasant Grove
In Class 5A, the Pleasant Grove Vikings once again claimed the number one ranking, mirroring their performance in the 6A division. The West Panthers followed in second place with a 25-2 record, and the Bountiful Redhawks held the third position after a 23-3 season.
Other notable Class 5A programs included the Fremont Silverwolves at number four with a 22-4 record and the Springville Red Devils at number five with a 17-8 record.
Class 4A Standings and Top Five Teams
The Class 4A division featured Green Canyon Wolves at the top of the rankings with a 25-2 record. They were followed by the Dixie Flyers, who finished 24-3, and the Snow Canyon Warriors, who recorded 15-10.
Rounding out the top five in Class 4A were the Mountain Crest Mustangs with a 19-6 record and the Pine View Panthers, who finished the season at 19-7.
Class 3A Leaders and Record Totals
In Class 3A, the Delta Rabbits earned the number one spot with a 22-3 record. The Morgan Trojans followed in second place with a 16-11 record, while the North Sanpete Hawks held the third position after finishing 20-7.
The remainder of the top five in Class 3A included the Emery Spartans at number four with a 14-11 record and the Grantsville Cowboys at number five with a 13-14 record.
Class 2A Competition and Records
The Class 2A rankings were led by the Kanab Cowboys, who finished their season with a 25-2 record. The Beaver Beavers followed in second place with a 22-5 record, and the Enterprise Wolves took the third spot after posting a 21-5 record.
The top five in Class 2A concluded with the Draper APA Eagles at number four with an 18-7 record and the North Summit Braves at number five with a 20-7 record.
Class 1A Top Rankings and Performance
In Class 1A, the Tabiona Tigers secured the top ranking with a 24-2 record. The Wayne Badgers followed in second place with a 19-5 record, while the Rich Rebels held the third position after finishing 21-6.
The final teams in the Class 1A top five were the Panguitch Bobcats at number four with a 20-6 record and the Valley Buffaloes at number five with a 13-10 record.
