West Jordan has seen a strong start to water conservation efforts over the last 10 days. According to city information, daily water demand has consistently remained below levels recorded last year.
On four of those recent days, water demand even dipped below the five-year average.
The progress is attributed to individuals, families, businesses, and neighboring cities making smart water choices. Small actions such as fixing leaks quickly, adjusting irrigation, and watering only when necessary are contributing to the reduction in usage.
Data from April 21 through April 30 shows that water demand has trended lower compared to the same period last year.
While the community is off to a strong start, officials noted that maintaining momentum is key. Staying below established benchmarks each week helps strengthen long-term water reliability.
