The Orem City Planning Commission has forwarded recommendations of approval to the City Council regarding two separate rezoning requests. The resolutions involve changes to property designations near Geneva Road and University Parkway.
Under resolution PC-2026-0011, the commission recommended approving a request to amend Article 22-5-3(A) and the Orem City zoning map. The proposal seeks to rezone approximately 2.9 acres located generally at 1875 South Geneva Road from Open Space (OS-5) to Planned Residential Development (PRD).
This resolution also includes an amendment to Appendix KK, known as Site Plan – Farm Haven, of the Orem City Code. The recommendation is subject to the condition that a public access road be provided from the PRD development to Geneva Road.
A second resolution, PC-2026-0015, recommends approval for rezoning a property at 355 West University Parkway. The request seeks to change the designation of approximately 5.93 acres from R8, Single-Family Residential, to C2, Commercial.
The proposed commercial zoning is subject to use limitations listed in the development agreement and specifically prohibits the addition of tattoo parlors.
