The Utah Women & Leadership Project (UWLP) at Utah State University has released a new research and policy brief titled The Status of Women Leaders in Public Education (K–12): A 2026 Update. This report provides what is described as the most comprehensive look to date regarding women's leadership within Utah’s public and charter schools.
In addition to education-focused research, the UWLP has released a white paper titled The Roots of Sexual Violence in Utah: A Framework for Understanding Harm. This document provides a synthesis of why sexual violence remains pervasive in the state and examines the cultural, structural, and attitudinal factors that allow it to persist.
Other recent research from the project includes a report on the realities and contributions of immigrants and refugees in Utah, as well as studies regarding the status of women and girls in areas such as political engagement, health, and the workplace.
The UWLP continues to publish various research briefs and white papers covering topics such as substance use disorders among Utah women, entrepreneurship, and the status of women in politics. These reports utilize both state and national data to highlight trends and challenges facing women across the state.
