The School Community Council held its October meeting on October 28, 2026, to address leadership elections and school procedures. Principal Brookeanne Dalby opened the meeting and welcomed the council members.
During the meeting, the council conducted elections for leadership positions. Kassondra Rhoades and Ada Raynaldo were both voted in. Following these elections, Kassondra Rhoades was voted in as Chair and Robyn was named Vice Chair.
Members discussed whether to use personal emails or create specific emails for the School Community Council. It was determined that a specific email is not necessary as information will be private on the website. Additionally, members were informed that all members need to complete virtual training by November 10.
Principal Dalby reviewed the Rules of Order and Procedures as they are currently written on the school website. Following this review, Julieta Flores motioned to accept the rules and procedures, which was seconded by Kassondra Rhoades.
School Board Member Teri McCabe presented DLI RISE testing data during the session.
The next meeting is scheduled for December 2 at 9:00 am in the Franklin Conference Room.
