Arizona State football coach Kenny Dillingham said on Wednesday that starting safety Lyrik Rawls is questionable to play this weekend against No. 8 BYU.
Rawls, along with quarterback Mikey Keene and offensive lineman Wade Helton, were officially designated as questionable in the Big 12 availability report released Wednesday.
Dillingham also told reporters that Mikey Keene remains questionable for the matchup.
Offensive lineman Tana Alo-Tupuola was listed as out for the game scheduled for Saturday.
Rawls, who transferred to ASU from Kansas last offseason, has not played since Oct. 3 due to a leg injury.
Before the injury, Rawls produced 11 total tackles, two passes defensed, and an interception across four games before the injury occurred against Baylor.
Regarding Rawls' progress, Dillingham said the defender has been looking pretty good and is getting his feet back underneath him. Dillingham noted that while Rawls is still in the questionable range rather than being doubtful, he is working his way back and appears confident on the field.
The Sun Devils will continue to evaluate the quarterback position, as Dillingham stated on Monday that freshman Jake Fette will start in Provo if Keene is unavailable.
The Sun Devils take on the Cougars on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. MST.
