Thousands of young single adults, aged 18 to 35, gathered at the Salt Palace Convention Center in downtown Salt Lake City for the Utah Area Young Single Adult Conference on Friday and Saturday, August 14-15, 2026. The event, which is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' largest annual gathering for this demographic, centered on the theme Together in Christ.
During the conference on Friday, August 14, 2026, Sister Andrea Muñoz Spannaus, Second Counselor in the Young Women General Presidency, spoke about the importance of friendship and spiritual experiences. She shared how the support of friends and a bishop helped her remain active in the Church after her parents stopped attending. Spannaus encouraged attendees to record their personal spiritual experiences, such as those involving prayer, scriptures, or temple visits, to help them grow in their faith.
Sister Kristin M. Yee, Second Counselor in the Relief Society General Presidency, delivered the closing keynote address on Saturday, August 15, 2026. She addressed the challenge of finding a sense of belonging within congregations and encouraged young adults to look for opportunities to minister to others. Yee also discussed the connection between family history and temple work, sharing a personal experience regarding her own family's genealogy and the healing power found through such work.
The conference provided attendees with opportunities to learn from various leaders and speakers, participate in service projects, attend classes, and build friendships.
