Heber leaders are considering an affordable housing project proposed with almost 200 units, a daycare and neighborhood businesses. The Heber City Council discussed a possible affordable housing development near the Heber Valley Hospital Nov. 3.
Following Tuesday’s election, three Republican candidates have separated from the pack as presumed winners of Wasatch County Council seats A, C and F: Rachel Kahler, Erik Rowland and Michael Murphy. Kahler, a former Heber City councilor, built her campaign for at-large seat A on managing growth and protecting Wasatch County’s rural character.

Salt Lake City police asked residents within a half-mile of 900 South and 1900 East to shelter in place as officers responded to a man barricaded inside a home. Police said they received calls about a man making threats. When officers arrived, shots were fired from inside the home, according to police.
