Utah's Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is excited to announce the Annual Radon Poster Contest, an initiative aimed at educating students about the dangers of radon and promoting awareness of this critical issue.
The contest, which runs from October 15 to October 31, invites students to submit posters on five specified topics. These include 'What is radon?', 'Where does radon come from?', 'How does radon get into our homes?', 'Radon can cause lung cancer', and 'Test your home for radon.' Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their creativity and knowledge through visual communication.
Winners will receive cash awards and be entered into the national contest, providing a platform for students to share their work and contribute to broader environmental awareness efforts.
