My older sister used to drive me to our Arizona high school in the mornings — we’d leave the house just after 7 a.m. so we could arrive at school with enough time to walk to our classes by the 7:30 bell. When the air got colder and the sun started rising later, I remember the golden, morning sun just barely peeking through our front room blinds as we were leaving.
