Valley Ride, the ADA complementary paratransit service operated by High Valley Transit, provides free and safe transportation for residents in the Wasatch Back. The service is designed specifically for individuals who cannot utilize the fixed-route bus system because of a permanent or temporary disability.
Service hours and coverage area
Rides are available seven days a week, with the first pickup occurring at 5:15 am and the final dropoff at 12:45 am. The service operates within three-quarters of a mile on either side of existing fixed-route bus lines.
Booking procedures and deadlines
To utilize the service, riders must book their trips in advance by calling (435) 246-1538. The booking cutoff is 5:00 pm the day before the intended ride, though passengers may schedule trips up to 14 days in advance.
Pickup windows and timing variability
High Valley Transit notes that scheduled pickup times may vary by up to 60 minutes from the requested time to ensure equitable service for all riders. Drivers will arrive within a specific 30-minute window, which is communicated to the rider upon booking.
Available assistance and door options
For those needing assistance, the service offers both curb-to-curb and door-to-door options. In curb-to-curb service, assistance begins once the rider reaches the curb. For door-to-door requests, drivers will attempt to park as close as possible to the destination and may escort the rider to the outer door of the destination if it is safe to do so.

Eligibility for Valley Ride is determined through an application process. Applications can be completed online or submitted via mail or in-person to High Valley Transit at 1570 Sego Lily Way, Park City, Utah, 84098.
Summit County transit integration
Additionally, paratransit users in Summit County can travel between the service areas of High Valley Transit and Park City Transit without needing to transfer vehicles. All Park City Mobility riders are automatically eligible for Valley Ride service.
