Utah Royals FC announced on September 7, 2026, the signing of forward Jameese Joseph from Chicago Stars FC. The transfer involves $750,000 in intraleague transfer funds, with add-ons that could bring the total to $840,000.
Joseph, a native of Maryland, played collegiate soccer at North Carolina State University. During her time there, she recorded 24 goals and 10 assists between 2019 and 2023. She finished her collegiate career ranked sixth in program history for shots with 237 and eighth in starts with 87.
The 24-year-old forward was selected 15th overall by the Chicago Red Stars, now known as the Chicago Stars, in the 2024 NWSL Draft. During her rookie season, she recorded three goals and two assists. In 2025, she tallied four goals and two assists. Her first goal of the 2026 season occurred on August 23 during a 3-2 victory against Racing Louisville.
Joseph has experience with the United States Women’s Youth National Team in 2016 and 2022. She made her senior team debut on November 28, 2025, in a 3-0 victory over Italy under head coach Emma Hayes.
The signing comes as the Utah Royals attempt a playoff push for the first time in club history during the final matches of the 2026 season.
