According to a September 1 report from the City of Lindon, the city has announced several upcoming community updates, including details for the fall clean-up program and information regarding sewer utility fees.
The fall clean-up was scheduled for November 14 through November 23. In coordination with the Lindon Leaf Away program, the city will continue picking up bagged leaves during November. Additionally, dumpsters will be available at several locations for the disposal of garden waste and fall leaf bags. These locations include the City Center Arena at 200 North Main Street, Anderson Farms at 1151 West Lancaster Way, Lindon View Park at 330 North 780 East, Pheasant Brook Park at 400 North 800 W, and Hollow Park at 300 East 400 North.
A new Sewer Treatment Facility Fee will be added as a separate line on utility bills. This fee is a pass-through cost for treating wastewater from homes or businesses and is intended to fund Lindon's required share of upgrades to the Orem Water Reclamation Facility (OWRF), where the city's wastewater is treated.
The Lindon Farmers Market was scheduled to run through October 8 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 200 North State Street, offering local produce, eggs, honey, meat, and various artisan goods alongside food trucks.
