Maeser Prep released an update on September 4 outlining several upcoming school events, academic deadlines, and campus updates. The report detailed upcoming holidays, lunch menus, and various volunteer and employment opportunities within the school community.
According to the September 4 update, school will be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Other upcoming dates include a full dress day on Tuesday, September 8, and parent-teacher conferences scheduled for Thursday, September 10, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Friday, September 11, will be a teacher workday with no school.
The school is seeking lunch volunteers to assist with meal distribution and is offering several menu options this week. Following the holiday, Tuesday's lunch features Costa Vida, while Wednesday will offer Little Caesar’s Pizza. Thursday's menu includes Yummy’s Korean Barbecue. Students may pre-order meals via Google Forms, though certain items like Little Caesar’s Pizza do not require pre-ordering.
Regarding academic and seasonal programs, the Winterim Catalog is now available on the school website. Applications for Independent Study Winterims must be submitted by September 18. Additionally, the school is actively interviewing for new team members due to an expansion occurring in Fall 2026.
Sports eligibility for the first term of the 2026-27 school year is based on fourth-term grades. For 9th through 12th graders, students must maintain a 2.7 GPA with no Fs or NGs, and 10th through 12th graders must be on track for graduation. For 7th and 8th graders, a 2.7 GPA with no Fs or NGs is also required.
The Maeser Board has updated its meeting schedule and will now meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Maeser Library, with an online meeting option also provided. The school also requested donations of large bags of individually wrapped candy for the counseling team, noting that such donations can count toward volunteer hours.
