The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City issued a notice stating that a flood watch has been cancelled for multiple areas across Utah.
According to the notice, flash flooding is no longer expected to pose a widespread threat to the affected regions.
The cancellation applies to several areas, including Castle Country, Central Mountains, Eastern Juab and Millard Counties, Sanpete Valley, Sevier Valley, Wasatch Plateau/Book Cliffs, Western Uinta Basin, Bryce Canyon Country, South Central Utah, Southern Mountains, Upper Sevier River Valleys, Southwest Utah, and Zion National Park.
Specific locations mentioned in the notice include Castle Dale, Scipio, Bryce Canyon City, Mt Pleasant, Cedar City, Fish Lake, Salina, Kanab, Fillmore, Scofield, Nephi, Cove Fort, Milford, Brian Head, Indian Canyon, Ephraim, Joes Valley, Price, Beaver, Panguitch, Richfield, Circleville, Duchesne, Roosevelt, Koosharem, Springdale, Escalante, Alton, Manti, and Emery.
Although the widespread threat has passed, the notice stated that periods of light to moderate rain may persist into the overnight hours. These rains may cause some streams and washes to see minor flows.
