Dear Residents,
West Jordan is a happening place! I want to tell you about all that is happening at Ron Wood Park, and I’m excited to see these projects getting so close to the finish line! Every time I visit, there seems to be another piece falling into place. The grass is growing, the landscaping is coming to life, and the restrooms and additional parking lots are complete! Utility work is wrapping up, too, and our new municipal well is making progress, another important investment in West Jordan’s water future.
Phase three at Wheels Park is well underway, with new viewing areas, a half-pipe and a vert ramp that will give riders even more ways to enjoy the park. It’s exciting to see a space that is already so popular continue to grow.
We’ll also get a chance to celebrate Wheels Park in a big way this weekend! On September 18 and 19, MTB X is bringing its first-ever race to West Jordan. Friday will be a chance to meet the pros, and Saturday will bring racing, music, food trucks and plenty of fun for the whole community. Whether you ride or just enjoy watching the action, I hope you’ll come join me and be part of it.
Thank you for your help as we continue working on Ron Wood Park. We are excited for these projects. We’re getting closer, and I think you’re going to love what’s taking shape. I certainly do.
