The George Washington Bridge Project will construct a new bridge connecting

George Washington Blvd to Crosby Way. The project is designed to improve

reduce existing and future delays at key intersections. Improvements began in

February 2026 and will be completed in July 2027.*

50% Finished!

Phase 1 of the George Washington Boulevard Project has reached 50 percent

completion, and our team continues to make progress across the project.

This week, we will finish installing the waterline along the east side of the

construction site, and have already completed the embankment on that side.

Work will also continue on storm drain pipe installation at the west end of the

project, along with placing and tying rebar on spans five and six.

Crews are preparing to pour the concrete bridge deck for spans four, five and

six, beginning Tuesday, October 27. Following the pour, the concrete will need

several days to cure and reach its required strength.

Thank you for your patience during construction! The project remains on its

critical path schedule, with completion anticipated in July 2027.
