The Santa Clara City Council will convene for a regular meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, to address several municipal topics, including a formal affirmation of the city's intent to continue providing 911 ambulance services and the approval of various community proclamations.
Emergency and Community Proclamations
The regular meeting, scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m., includes an agenda item for Fire Chief Dan Cazier to present a discussion regarding the city's intent to continue providing, maintaining, and supporting 911 ambulance services within municipal boundaries, as authorized by Utah Code.
Community Awareness Initiatives
In addition to emergency services, the council will consider several community recognitions. The Dove Center is set to present a proclamation for October Domestic Violence Awareness Month, while Mary Ann Novak of St. George Elks Drug Awareness will present a proclamation declaring Oct. 23-31, 2026, as Red Ribbon Week.
Infrastructure and Youth Recognition
The council is also scheduled to review an award bid for the Substation Lines RFP, presented by Power Director Gary Hall. The meeting will also feature the introduction of the Santa Clara Royalty and Youth Council, presented by Councilwoman Burton.
Water and Code Discussions
Prior to the regular meeting, the city will hold a work meeting at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026. During this session, Public Works Director Casey Stratton is scheduled to lead a discussion regarding water shortage drought stages.
Administrative and Park Matters
The work meeting agenda also includes discussions led by City Manager Brock Jacobsen and Planning Director Jim McNulty regarding City Code Chapter 5.04.100, which concerns the revocation or denial of business licenses. Additionally, Jacobsen and Parks Director Ryan VonCannon will discuss matters related to Chapel Street and Tobler Park.

The City of Santa Clara has scheduled the regular meeting to be broadcasted on the city's official website. The city's offices will be closed on Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, in observance of Columbus Day.
