The City of Draper is proposing an increase to its property tax revenue, according to a recent public notice. The proposal includes adjustments to taxes for both residential and business properties within the city.
For a $941,000 residence, the tax would increase from $466.83 to $583.80, representing an annual increase of $116.97. For a $941,000 business, the tax would rise from $848.78 to $1,061.45, which is a yearly increase of $212.67.
If the proposed budget is approved, the City of Draper would receive an additional $2,455,712 in property tax revenue per year. This would represent a 25.12% increase in budgeted property tax revenue above last year's revenue, excluding eligible new growth.
The city has invited concerned citizens to participate in a public hearing to discuss the reasons for the proposed increase and provide comments. Residents have the option to attend the hearing either in person or virtually.
The public hearing is scheduled for August 12, 2026, at 6:00 P.M. The meeting will be held at the Draper City Hall Council Chambers, located at 1020 E. Pioneer Rd., Draper, Utah 84020.
