Project Overview
The sewer in Emery Street between 600 South and 700 South is 103 years old and in need of repair. The section in Emery Street between Indiana Avenue and 700 South is 35 years old but is too small to serve the community’s needs. Salt Lake City Department of Public Utilities plans to perform repair and replacement work in Summer 2026.
Timeline
Engineering plans are being developed now to determine the best approach to repairing and replacing this sewer.
The City anticipates selecting a contractor this spring.
Construction dates are not yet confirmed.
