The Morgan County Library Board scheduled a meeting for Sept. 9, 2026, according to a notice posted August 28. The meeting is set to take place at the Morgan County Library located at 50 N 100 W in Morgan.
The meeting, scheduled from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, includes several agenda items. The board will review minutes from the July 8, 2026, meeting and examine expenditures from July and August. The agenda also includes a discussion with Commissioner Mike Newton regarding spending authority for the Library Fund Balance and the appropriate path if the Commission disagrees with a board recommendation.
Additional topics for the meeting include a librarian report on July and August usage, trustee training regarding ADA and buildings, a review of the Building Use Policy, and building maintenance responsibilities. The board will also discuss strategic plan progress, summer reading numbers, and the Chalk the Block event.
The notice stated that public comments are limited to three minutes. For individuals needing special accommodations, the notice advises notifying Erin Bott at 801-829-3481 at least 24 hours before the meeting. The next board meeting is scheduled for Nov. 4, which will include a Board Appreciation Dinner.
