The Cathedral of the Madeleine has received a new first-class relic belonging to its patroness, St. Mary Magdalene.
In other local news, Catholic Community Services was honored as a critical services provider during the 2026 State of Downtown celebration held at the Salt Lake City Public Library on July 15.
The Downtown Alliance presented this recognition to Catholic Community Services during the event.
At the newly opened Museum of Utah, several items are currently on display that help recount the history of Catholics within the Beehive State, including items from the Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City.
A culinary training program is currently offering chocolate chip, sugar, and oatmeal raisin cookies for purchase. Variety boxes are also available starting at $10, with orders available by the half dozen or dozen.
