The Bountiful Planning Commission scheduled a public hearing for Tuesday, September 1, 2026, to discuss proposed amendments to the Bountiful City Land Use Code, according to a August 21 statement.
The request for the hearing involves several proposed changes to the city's land use regulations. These include updating Planning Commission provisions to comply with State Code requirements and amending Detached Accessory Dwelling Unit provisions to meet State Code requirements.
Additionally, the commission will review amendments to land use definitions intended to clarify, update, and provide consistency among definitions and land uses throughout the Land Use Code. Following the public hearings, the commission will make recommendations to the Bountiful City Council regarding these amendments.
The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the Bountiful City Hall Council Chambers, located at 795 South Main Street, Bountiful, Utah 84010. All interested persons are invited to attend and provide public comment during the hearings.
Copies of the proposed amendments were scheduled to be available for review online at www.bountiful.gov at least three days before the hearings. For those requiring ADA accommodations, the Bountiful Planning Office requested at least 24 hours of prior notification.
The Bountiful City Council is designated as the body for final action on these proposed amendments.
