Gary Alfred Mitcheson, 68, of Ferron, Utah, passed away on April 30, 2026, according to announcements from Mitchell Funeral Home.
Born in Price, Utah, on December 16, 1957, Mitcheson was the son of Alfred and Mary Mitcheson. Mitchell Funeral Home confirmed that arrangements for his services are entrusted to its Price and Huntington locations.
Mitcheson was a devoted husband to Sherri Ann Mitcheson and a father to Destiny, Felisha (Wayne), Alfred (Erin), and Trevor (Josie). He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Riley, Ashton, Kayeson, Layla, Madison, Marina, Lennyx, Parker, and Oaklee.
Known for his passion for baseball and coaching, Mitcheson also enjoyed outdoor activities in the mountains with his dogs, Shivers and Peekaboo. He frequently spent time teaching his grandchildren games such as backgammon and dice.
A celebration of life for Mitcheson will be held at a later time. Mitchell Funeral Home noted that friends are welcome to share memories online through their website.
