The Deer Valley East Village development is introducing a new world-class alpine village to northern Heber Valley, Utah. As part of the Expanded Excellence initiative, this luxury project will feature new ski lifts that provide year-round access to terrain with views of the Jordanelle Reservoir.
The development covers 6,000 acres, which includes 4,100 skiable acres. The resort infrastructure will consist of 130 ski runs and 17 lifts, including a two-stage gondola. Notable features of the expansion include the largest ski beach in North America and Utah's longest ski run, which spans 5 miles with 3,200 vertical feet.
Lodging options within the village are expanding with several luxury hotel properties. The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley opened in November 2024 and includes rooms specifically for military members. Additionally, Canopy by Hilton is scheduled to open in 2026, followed by the Four Seasons Deer Valley in 2027.
The East Village will offer various amenities such as a day lodge, four restaurants, a ski school, and ice skating. For summer use, the area includes 11 miles of trails. The development also provides 1,200 parking spots for day skiers.
Environmental systems are being integrated into the project, featuring state-of-the-art snowmaking and wildfire mitigation systems designed with an 80% water return to the Jordanelle Reservoir.
The project includes over 1,000 private residences and a walkable area for shopping and dining. A portion of this new ski development is situated within a MIDA Project Area.
