Dr. Edwards released a videocast containing important upcoming dates, reminders, and announcements for Centennial Middle School.
According to the videocast, students were scheduled to complete NWEA Math and Science assessments starting Monday, August 24. A school safety drill was also scheduled for Monday, August 24, to allow students and staff to practice evacuation procedures.
Several events were scheduled for the following weeks at Centennial Middle School.
Picture Day was scheduled for Tuesday, September 1. Dr. Edwards noted that these photographs are used in the school information system, may assist with identifying students in an emergency, and will appear in the school yearbook. On that same day, Tuesday, September 1, vision screenings were scheduled for seventh-grade students following their school pictures.
PTA meetings were scheduled for Tuesday, August 25, at 10:30 a.m. and Tuesday, September 1, at 10:30 a.m. Both meetings were to be held in the CMS Library. The school invited parents and guardians to join the PTA and become involved in the school community.
There was no school on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. Additional announcements and information are posted on the Centennial Middle School website.
