Specialized community safety resources
Salt Lake City officials also highlighted specialized resources such as Community Liaison Officers, who assist residents with issues ranging from graffiti and loud parties to drug dealers and gangs. The department also maintains the Law Enforcement Explorer Program for individuals aged 14 to 20 and promotes Neighborhood Watch programs to help reduce burglaries, robberies, and car prowls.
