A driver suspected of driving under the influence sustained injuries after crashing into a parked vehicle and a carport in Ogden. The incident occurred near 3031 Monroe Blvd, resulting in a carport collapsing on top of the driver.
According to Lt. Keyes with the Ogden Police Department, the driver struck a parked car that contained two individuals. The occupants of the parked vehicle experienced minor bumps and bruises but were shaken up by the collision.
Following the initial impact, the driver's vehicle careened into a house's carport. The structure then fell and came to rest on top of the driver.
The driver was transported to an area hospital to be treated for a head laceration.
