The Town of Manila is currently following State of Utah fire restrictions due to elevated wildfire danger. All code-compliant residential fire pits within town limits are prohibited until restrictions are lifted.

Recreation area campfire regulations
For those planning to recreate in the area, fire restrictions vary by land management agency and location. Many areas are currently under Stage 2 fire restrictions, which prohibit all open campfires. Campfires are typically only allowed in designated, government-approved fire rings within developed campgrounds or picnic areas.

New water conservation ordinance details
The Town Council also adopted Ordinance No. 05-28-26b on May 28, 2026, to establish water conservation measures. To reduce evaporation and promote responsible use, outdoor watering of lawns, gardens, and landscaping is limited to three days per week.
Watering schedule by address type
Properties with even-numbered addresses may water on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, while properties with odd-numbered addresses may water on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. No watering is permitted on Sundays to allow aquifers to replenish.
Permitted hours for outdoor watering
Permitted watering hours are before 10:00 a.m. and after 6:00 p.m. Watering is not allowed between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Due to ongoing dry conditions and hot weather, fire restrictions may be updated with little notice. Residents and visitors are encouraged to monitor state and federal fire restrictions and contact the Town Office with any questions.
