The Payson Santaquin Area Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the Santaquin Recreation Department to host the Hometown Market & Sounds of Santaquin summer series, a community event featuring local businesses, live music, and family activities at Centennial Park.
Summer Event Schedule
The summer event series, which runs through August, is held on Mondays starting at 6:00 p.m., with live entertainment beginning at 7:00 p.m. The program aims to support small businesses through an initiative described by the Chamber as helping makers go from "Garage to Great."
Seasonal Highlights
The series includes several themed evenings held throughout the summer months. On Monday, June 15, 2026, the series featured a Polynesian Luau with Polynesian music and fire dancers. On Monday, June 29, 2026, the community held an America 250 Celebration featuring the 23rd Army Band from the Utah National Guard and an outdoor screening of the movie National Treasure.
In July, the market hosted a Young Entrepreneurs Night on Monday, July 13, 2026, which included performances by youth groups and young performers, as well as youth business booths. On Monday, July 27, 2026, the event featured "Pets in the Park" with music by Ridin' Shotgun and a screening of Secret Life of Pets, which included activities such as a petting zoo and carriage rides.
Back-to-School Finale
The final scheduled event in the series is a Back-to-School Bash on Monday, August 10, 2026. This event is scheduled to include live entertainment from the tribute band PettyMac, which covers the music of Tom Petty and Fleetwood Mac. The evening will also feature an outdoor screening of the movie Monsters University starting at dusk.
Families attending the August 10 event can access community safety booths hosted by local police, fire departments, schools, and the PTA. The event will also include a clothing drive and various family-friendly business booths. According to the Chamber, the event will provide food options including three food trucks, two drink trucks, and a dessert truck, alongside home-baked goods.
Local Vendor Offerings
The Hometown Market features a diverse array of local vendors. As of August 7, 2026, the vendor list for August included several specialized businesses, such as D3D's Creations, Flynn's Card Stop, HD Prints, Keller Korner, and Precision Prints, all offering various 3D printed goods and toys. Other vendors include The Pokapínos, which provides Pokemon cards, sports cards, and 3D prints.
Food and specialty goods are also represented by vendors such as Arrowhead Canyon Homestead, which offers soaps, lotions, jams, sauces, baked goods, herbs, produce, eggs, and lemonade. Other food-focused vendors include Green Door Home Bakery, Shelly's Macarons, and Sophies Cookie Co, which specialize in sourdough, cookies, treats, and sweet rolls.
Chamber History and Scope
The Payson Santaquin Area Chamber of Commerce has been a presence in the region since 1941, when the city of Payson founded the Chamber to unite local businesses and encourage residents to shop locally. The organization has undergone several structural changes over the decades. In 2007, the Chamber separated from the city to become an independent nonprofit that answers to its members.
In 2015, the Payson and Santaquin Area Chambers merged to create a single organization serving the entire area. Today, the Chamber serves more than 1,400 businesses and 40,000 residents across five communities: Payson, Santaquin, Genola, Goshen, and Elk Ridge.
Mission and Resources
The Chamber describes itself as the voice of business in southern Utah County, providing resources, connections, and education to help local businesses grow. Its mission includes advocating for members at every level of government and providing practical support through directory listings, member-to-member discounts, and marketing channels. The organization also provides educational workshops and training focused on operations, marketing, and profitability for business owners.
