New Lead Line Replacement Program
The Salt Lake City Department of Public Utilities officially started its Lead Service Line Replacement Program on April 29, 2026. The initiative, which has already seen the first replacement of a lead line on a residential property, was developed to comply with the Environmental Protection Agency’s new Lead and Copper Rule Improvements.
