In a message released by University of Utah President Taylor Randall, Provost Mitzi Montoya, and Senior Vice President for Health Sciences Bob Carter, the university described the violence as deeply disturbing. The University of Utah Public Safety Department is working to increase safety measures on campus, including making police officers available to speak with students, faculty, and staff.
