In the spring of 1945, when the world was at war and the Nazis occupied the Netherlands, 14-year-old Hank Hoole rode a bicycle with metal rims 175 kilometers through the Dutch countryside after delivering food to his father so he wouldn't starve. Last month, 56-year-old Greg Hoole did the same ride, albeit with rubber tires.
