West Haven City Council has announced an amended agenda for scheduled meetings on August 5, 2026. The evening will consist of a special city council meeting at 5:00 PM followed by a regular Wednesday city council meeting at 6:00 PM.
The special city council meeting is scheduled to be held in the city council chambers and will be led by Mayor Vanderwood. During this session, the council will consider a motion to enter into a closed session for a strategy session regarding the purchase, exchange, or lease of real property, in accordance with Utah Code 52-4-205.
The regular city council meeting will also be led by Mayor Vanderwood and includes an opening ceremony featuring a pledge of allegiance by Councilmember Swapp and a prayer or moment of silence by Councilmember Dixon. A public presentation period will allow residents to express concerns or ask questions regarding issues not on the agenda.
Agenda action items for the regular meeting include the approval of meeting minutes from a meeting held on July 15, 2026. The council will also consider consent agenda items involving the Weber County Sheriff and Staker Parson Companies.
Additionally, the council is scheduled to act on planning commission meeting recommendations regarding zoning map amendments. These include an amendment for parcels located at 2231 W 1800 S and an amendment for a parcel near 2410 Hinckley Drive. The agenda also includes a social media report from Michelle Witte and a quarterly audit report from City Manager Shawn Warnke.
