Ashley Regional Medical Group will expand healthcare services to Daggett County starting Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, according to a report published Oct. 7, 2026. The medical group will operate out of the existing Manila Clinic location until construction on a new building is finished.
The expansion follows a request for proposals from Daggett County regarding the management and operation of healthcare services within the county. While Ashley Regional Medical Group will provide clinical services and operational support, the clinic will remain a facility owned by Daggett County.
Beginning Oct. 9, the clinic will offer primary care and walk-in clinic services from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday. The clinic will be closed daily for lunch and is intended to provide care for minor illnesses, injuries, preventive services, and chronic disease management.
Wayne Gatewood, Physician Services Director at Ashley Regional Medical Group, stated that the group is excited to be a local resource for residents and visitors in Daggett County. Gatewood noted that the focus is on making care more convenient and accessible while building trust with patients and families.
Patients receiving care in Manila will have access to Ashley Regional's broader healthcare network, which includes diagnostic services, specialty care, and hospital resources when necessary.
The partnership is intended to improve healthcare access throughout the Uintah Basin and surrounding communities. Daggett County officials expressed appreciation for the partnership, which aims to bring continued healthcare services to the community through a newly developed clinic space.
Patients may begin scheduling appointments by calling 435.784.3575. To assist with the transition of care, patients planning to establish care at the Manila Clinic are encouraged to request that their medical records be sent to Ashley Regional Medical Group.
