Severe storms trigger flash floods and road closures across Emery County
ORANGEVILLE – A sudden round of intense storms moved through Emery County on Saturday afternoon, triggering rapid flash flooding that overwhelmed local waterways, submerged community recreation areas and apartments and sent emergency responders rushing to help slow the debris buildup. The heavy downpour quickly filled local canals and river channels, where thick debris quickly slowed the flow.
