Davis County is hosting two emergency preparedness events this month to help residents prepare for unexpected disasters like earthquakes and wildfires. The events aim to teach residents how to protect their families and communities by maintaining hygiene and securing essential supplies.
A Disaster Sanitation Town Hall is scheduled for September 24 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Davis County EOC, located at 851 W Clark Lane, Utah 84025. This session will cover best practices for maintaining hygiene and sanitation during emergencies, particularly when water or sewer services are disrupted.
An Emergency Preparedness Fair will take place on September 26 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Western Sports Park, located at 25 N Sports Park Drive, Farmington, UT 84025. The fair is designed for families and will feature vendors, information, and activities for all ages.
Officials suggest that residents use this time to learn how to manage waste and find essential supplies before a disaster occurs. Residents are also encouraged to sign up for Emergency Alert Notifications from Davis County.
