A male driver died following a semi-truck crash on I-84 in Morgan County during the early hours of July 16th.
At approximately 0206 hours, an eastbound semi-truck transporting apples was traveling near milepost 108 when it failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and overturned on the roadway.
The driver of the vehicle was unrestrained and was ejected from the truck during the incident. According to officials, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
A male passenger was sleeping in the truck at the time of the crash and remained uninjured.
Crews have been working to remove the truck and clean up the spilled cargo. Lane two of I-84 is expected to be closed for most of the day, though officials stated that traffic will be minimally impacted.
